Every one of the 3D printers we sell on Pro3DShop is used by our experts every day. We know exactly how every 3D printer we sell works and the common problems you may encounter day-to-day. Every printer we stock is strenuously tested by our experts before we add it to our shop. We have direct contact with manufacturers and question every aspect of the operation of our 3D printers.

How we train 3D printing professionals

Our training sessions are unique to the 3D printing professionals who take them. Before we arrange a session we discover three things:

Your level of expertise
Your experience with 3D printers
Your industry and what you will use your printer for

Do you know the difference between an FDM and SLP? Can you design a 3D object in formware? If we know that you are a novice, intermediate or expert in 3D printing we will tailor the training to your knowledge. You may have a basic knowledge of terms but have never operated a machine. In any case, we do not want to build a session around you being an expert and it turns out you have never seen a live 3D printer!

Have you got a 3D printer at home? Is it gathering dust? Or used every weekend? Have you never seen a 3D printer in person? You may have read everything there is to know about 3D printers but never operated one. If you have never operated a 3D printer you may find that there are quirks that are not written in manuals. Every 3D printer is good at something specific. We can train you on how to get the best out of your 3D printing, and what you should avoid.

What industry do you work in? What will you use your 3D printer for? Will it be detailed work, like jewellery? Or larger scale projects, like manufacturing car parts? We can recommend 3D printers for your industry if you have not already made your purchase. As said above, different 3D printers are good for different projects. We will tailor the training to your specific industry, printer and experience level.

What next?

Next, we arrange a time and a place that works for you. We can do your training at our Hatton Garden office in London, or online via video chat. Ideally, you should visit us in London as you will gain a better understanding in person, and you can watch your type of 3D printer in action. We will tailor a program that is specific to you, and if you have any questions you can send them ahead of the arranged time. More often than not we will have the answers. If not, we can speak directly to the manufacturer and test the solution in our office before the training session.

Do you offer certification?

The short answer is no.

We do not offer certification for our training. All of our training is designed to ensure you get the most out of your specific 3D printer. We will train you on how to use it as a professional in a specific industry. Our aim is to make you the expert in the operation of your 3D printer. That being said, our training will give you experience in the operation of 3D printers in general, but we tailor our training to you and what you need your 3D printer for.
